2012 CTRL Wake Boards

2012 CTRL Wake The Line 135 Wakeboard

A new style of riding all its own whether at the park or wherever you may ride. Its all about the feel of this board on the water, it sets a Line all its own. What’s the secret? Not only did we pipe in a rocker line with a twist, but addd in some compostie materials blended with out ERC 4 Core and you get a lot of punch in one package.

ERC Core 4: The Gearshift
And we mean it, the added tuned response rods in this board make this core not only super responsive but ultra lively as well. Our specific placement allows for unreal edge transfer initiation by pre-loading in added torsion along the edge contact areas, enhances pop off the water, and maintains an even stronger torsional energy across the board.

Rail Metrics:
We like to call it the Top Seam Technology (TST) . Built to take whatever you throw at it on all our boards, simply the most durable rail styles in the market today. From The Standard to The RM, you can be satisfied our rails will hold up and take the abuse. Our unique hybrid blended rails vary throughout our line, but the quality and durability they share does not.

Base Metrics:
The Grind, Jib Base, or whatever you want to call it, everybody has the same ones. Well, while we are all about a nice grind from time to time or getting out for some jibbing, what are we really saying? We don’t use or need the typical grind or jib base. No 4 letter base materials here, you industry peeps know what I’m talking about. Instead, hell, why not just build boards that straight up perform and hold up to some abuse. Putting a band-aid bottom on a board so that the rail can fail or the board can break, what is the point? With Flak, our lowest end boards with a simpler base construction will hold up as well as these Grind or Jib Base boards and believe me we are just getting started on those. Our mid to high end boards you ask, well they just hold up, no BS. We use a nice base material so don’t get me wrong, but we use it because its fast, looks good, and works! Our Shield 1 base features all the reinforcement necessary to take abuse from the parks. Shield 2 goes further still and offers even more protection and durability to hold up under all conditions.

Stances:

We like to go big or go home, wider the stance the better, at least you have options. This is also the reason we are using 4 pack inserts versus the 3 packs. Why not give everyone more options and not less? To save a little weight some say, well our boards are light now, so why go on a diet you don’t have to.

2012 CTRL Wake The Hustle 137 Wakeboard

Plain and simple this will be setting new standards in park technology boards. Featuring our unique ERC Core 3.5 Technology, the Hustle will be turning heads and getting double takes. From the ground up this Keith Lidberg inspired work of art set out to redefine what park boards are all about. Take the core, an industry first 3 piece Poplar/Bamboo/Foam Blend. The torsional strength here is just where you want it - solid, instant edge response with an unmatched core energy life. You simply need to experience the feel to truly understand it. It also features our plug in fin system so you can fine tune your ride any way you like. Vary the feel on one end, one side, or one fin, name your feel. Don’t like the fin, change it out, worried about riding them in parks? Don’t they will take the abuse as will the rest of it. The Hustle is all about making your opportunities count.

ERC Core 3.5: The Three
Another industry first, a 3 piece core comprised of not only foam (like others have tried to do in the past) ours is fused with FSC Poplar and Bamboo. These CNC machined tip and tail sections allow us to tune the core energy to unmatched levels, you simply cannot believe the feel and retention this blend provides. Why Poplar and Bamboo? First, these are both from sustainable wood and plants. These rapid growing species are readily available for harvest without depleting our global resources, something that is important to humanities future. Second, these materials offer amazing tensile strength and superior strength to weight ratios making them a natural for the forces that riding cable imparts upon them.

Our Shield 1 base features all the reinforcement necessary to take abuse from the parks. Shield 2 goes further still and offers even more protection and durability to hold up under all conditions.

Stances: We like to go big or go home, wider the stance the better, at least you have options. This is also the reason we are using 4 pack inserts versus the 3 packs. Why not give everyone more options and not less? To save a little weight some say, well our boards are light now, so why go on a diet you don’t have to.

2012 CTRL Wake The Supreme 142 Wakeboard Limited Edition

CTRL called it The Supreme, not because it is the Supreme being or anything, but it really is the start of something special. Like it's baby brother (The Blueprint) this fast, edgy, skate like ride is tight edge to edge with a surprisingly fluid and much more stable feel enhanced by CTRL's own magic carbon concoction for enhanced air tricks, yet still carry a lot of speed and some jaw dropping pop. Pour in some ERC 2.5 Core tech, the Plug In Fin, and you have a park wakeboard ready for launch. CTRL also built in thier Shield base, protection where you need it and want it because you've gotta protect your investment!.

Triaxial S Glass, Hardwood, and Composite Infused.

ERC Core 2.5: The Center
A balanced yet centered kinetic energy flow is achieved by mixing our own special blend of composite materials. This is done thru the use of our energy rods as well as some well placed carbon composites in the core as well. This allows the feel of the board to retain its energy at center where you want it the most, yet still allow for a softer feel in the tip and tail. Set the edge hard and allow the board to do the work on air tricks and press out the nose when desired as well.

We called it The Blueprint, because it really is the start of something that is to come, the foundation really. This fast, edgy, skate like ride is tight edge to edge with a surprisingly fluid and stable feel that carries a lot of speed and some jaw dropping pop. Pour in some ERC 2 Core tech, the Plug In Fin, and you have a park board ready for launch. All the same characteristics and benefits of the first core, but in this case the kinetic energy is released in more of an outward flowing pattern towards the tip and tail. This allows for some added energy on the outer rail portions of your board so you can dig and sink it a bit deeper in the water and still maintain all the torsional energy as well.

ERC Core 1: The Reverse V
We have increased the torsional rigidity of the board throughout by using our unique blend of tri-axial glass throughout the board. We then placed bamboo rods across the center of the board to tune this energy zone. These bamboo rods keep the energy directly between your feet where you need it the most, yet allow the energy to transfer out as desired towards the tip and tail. This allows for a large amount of preload and extended pop while riding at the park and the torsional properties make the edge a lot more responsive by providing a preload to it when you cut in.
